Can I drive in Dominica with my home country license?
Yes — any valid home license works, paired with a Dominica Visitor Driving Permit (~EC$30) which we arrange for you on arrival. No international driving permit needed, no government office visits.
What documents do I need to bring?
Just your valid driver's license from your home country and a passport or other ID. We handle everything else, including the visitor driving permit.
What currencies can I pay in?
Eastern Caribbean dollars (XCD), US dollars, and euros — cash, credit card, or bank transfer. Our website lists prices in EC$ with an approximate US$ equivalent.

Which side of the road does Dominica drive on?

How do I book a car rental in Dominica?

Do I need to send my arrival details separately?
No — your flight number or ferry time is captured when you reserve. We track flights automatically, so delays cost you nothing. WhatsApp is always available if anything changes.

How far in advance should I book?
Peak season (December–May): 2-4 weeks ahead — we're often fully booked. June–November: 1-2 weeks is usually sufficient.
Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes — contact us by WhatsApp or phone with as much notice as possible. We don't charge cancellation fees, but advance notice helps us reallocate the vehicle.
Do you require a deposit?
No security deposit is required to make a reservation — unlike many rental companies in Dominica. You confirm your booking and pay when you collect the vehicle.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash (XCD, USD, EUR), credit cards, and bank transfers.

Are there any hidden fees?
No. The advertised rate is the final rate.

What currency are your prices in?
Prices are listed in Eastern Caribbean Dollars (XCD), with an approximate US Dollar equivalent shown alongside.
Is insurance included or required?
Basic third-party insurance is included with every rental. Collision damage waiver (CDW) is available but optional — we never force you to purchase it. You can decline if you have travel insurance or credit card coverage.
Are taxes included in the price?
Yes. All prices shown include applicable taxes. There are no surprise additions at checkout.
Do you offer discounts for longer rentals?
Yes. Discounts are automatically applied based on rental length across all bookings. The longer you stay, the better the rate — no promo code needed.
Are weekly rentals cheaper than daily?
Yes. Weekly and extended rates offer better value than daily rates. Discounts apply automatically when you select your dates — you'll always see the best available rate for your booking length.
Driving in Dominica
Do I need a special license to drive in Dominica?
Visitors need a Dominica Visitor Driving Permit (~EC$30). We arrange it for you on arrival — no government office visits.
What's the minimum age to rent?
Standard minimum is 25. Drivers 21–24 may rent with a small underage fee — contact us to discuss your situation.
Do I need a 4x4?
No — what matters is ground clearance, and all our vehicles are suited to Dominica's terrain. Our Compact category offers higher clearance specifically for waterfall roads.
Are the roads in Dominica difficult?
Dominica's roads vary from smooth coastal routes to narrower hillside tracks. Main roads are good; roads to remote waterfalls or trailheads can be narrow and winding. Take your time, especially in mountainous areas, and you'll be fine.
Is there much traffic in Dominica?
Roseau gets busy during business hours, especially morning and late afternoon. Outside the capital, roads are generally quiet. Plan to leave Roseau before 8 AM or after 9:30 AM to avoid the heaviest traffic.
Pickup & Delivery
Where can I collect my vehicle?
Free pickup at Douglas-Charles Airport, Roseau Ferry Terminal, or your hotel or accommodation anywhere on the island. You can also collect from our office in Roseau.
How does airport pickup work?
Your flight details are captured when you reserve, and we track the flight. We meet you in the arrivals area at Douglas-Charles Airport with your vehicle. The process takes about 15 minutes, including permit paperwork and a quick orientation.
How does ferry terminal pickup work?
For visitors arriving from Guadeloupe, Martinique, or other islands by ferry, we meet you at the Roseau Ferry Terminal with your vehicle ready. Your ferry arrival details are captured at booking.
Is hotel delivery free?
Yes. Delivery to any hotel or accommodation is included at no extra cost, anywhere on the island. Just provide your accommodation details when booking.
Can I pick up and drop off at different locations?
Yes — collect at the airport and return at the ferry terminal, your hotel, or anywhere else on the island. Just tell us your preferred drop-off point when booking and we'll arrange it.
What time can I collect or return my vehicle?
We operate 24 hours a day for both collection and drop-off. Your arrival or departure time is captured at booking and we'll be ready.

What types of vehicles do you offer?
Seven categories: Economy (best value), Mid-size (more room), Compact (higher road clearance), SUV (adventure and family travel), Adventure SUV (4WD Jimny-class), Full-size (maximum comfort), and 7-Seater (groups and extended families).
Are your vehicles automatic or manual?
All vehicles in our fleet are automatic transmission.
Do your vehicles have air conditioning?
Yes. Every vehicle includes air conditioning — essential for Dominica's tropical climate.
Do you offer WiFi?
A portable WiFi hotspot is available as an optional add-on for a small daily fee. It travels with you — in the car or on the trail — handy for navigation and staying reachable island-wide.
Are baby seats or child seats available?
Yes — baby seats, child seats, and booster seats are available as an add-on. Mention it when booking so we can have one ready.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes. Additional drivers can be added as an add-on. They must meet the minimum age requirement and hold a valid driver's license.

What if I have a problem with the vehicle?

What if I get into an accident?
Stop safely, contact the police if there are injuries, and call us immediately. Our 24/7 team will guide you through the next steps. Take photos if it's safe to do so.
What if I run out of gas?
We deliver fuel anywhere on the island as part of our roadside assistance. Call us and we'll come to you.
What if I get a flat tire?
Each vehicle includes a spare tire and jack. If you're not comfortable changing it, call us and we'll send someone to help — included in our 24/7 roadside assistance.
What if I lose the keys?
Call us immediately. We can dispatch a replacement key to your location anywhere on the island. There may be a small fee depending on the type of key.
What if my flight or ferry is delayed?
No problem. We track flights automatically, and you can share any changes on WhatsApp. We'll adjust pickup timing — no extra charges for delays.

What about whale watching?
Dominica is one of the few places in the world with a year-round sperm whale population. Tours depart from Roseau — drive to the coast and book directly with operators.
Where can I get gas (petrol)?
Gas stations are available in all major towns including Roseau, Portsmouth, Marigot, and Castle Bruce, accepting cash and cards. Fill up before heading to remote areas.
Can I drive to all the waterfalls?
Most waterfalls require a short hike from a parking area, and the drive to the parking area suits most vehicles in our fleet. We can advise which trails are easiest and which require more effort.
Is there a speed limit in Dominica?
Yes. Urban areas: 30 mph (48 km/h). Highways and rural areas: 40–50 mph (64–80 km/h). School zones: 20 mph (32 km/h). Always check for posted signs.
